Preparing to Start PROC

PROC can seem pretty daunting at first and is one of the big stresses of first year. While hopefully the reality turns out to be a breeze, this page exits to try to bring together what steps you need to do to be as prepared as possible for PROC.

Set Up Relevant Accounts

To work on PROC you need to have access to the various site's PACS systems to get this set up you need to email all the various teams asking for an account:

You also need to check you have access to all the relevant PROCuments - they should be all on teams these days. There is a theoretically a PROC email with a few useful resources which is part of the official process, but this isn't really widely used at this point.

Learn On-Call Relevant Radiology

Lots of what you do in the academy and in placements is really relevant and helpful for this, particularly on-call cases and on IP CT reporting, which I'd recommend you get involved in, but there are plenty of other good resources out there too. A few recommendations:
