Sorting Out Unchecked Reports

We've all been there. You log back into CRIS after a long holiday, and try to take a look at the addenda's from the night shift you had right before you jetted off, only to find that really important ruptured AAA scan was missed.

First thing to remember is it isn't your job to ensure the consultants do their job. If you have PROV coded the scan don't stress, you have done your part, and have not made an error. That said, in the interest of patients if you do notice a unchecked report it is generally worth contacting the relevant team. When getting in touch, always try to have the date of the scan, scan and patient details to hand. Guides for each site below:

Post in the imaging production board team channel, or email the secretaries at plh-tr.imagingsecretaries@nhs.net.

Truro have automated systems in place which make it extremely rare for them to miss a scan if it has been PROV coded, however if it has somehow been missed best approach is contact any of the radiology secretaries who will flag the report up to the relevant party.

Best approach is to email the radiology secretaries at rduh.radiologysecretaries@nhs.net

Post in the Torbay CT chat and/or email the secretaries at tsdft.radiologysecretaries@nhs.net.
